The Monks Fuzz – Dual High-Gain Doom Fuzz Pedal
The Monks Fuzz is a high-gain doom fuzz pedal developed in collaboration with Earthbong (Germany). Designed for massive low-end, overwhelming saturation, and slow, crushing riffs, it delivers extreme fuzz tones built for doom, sludge, and bong metal.
The Monks Fuzz has been road-tested extensively, with the prototype living on Earthbong’s pedalboard for over a year. It also features on their album Church of Bong, where its signature sound plays a central role.
At its core, the Monks Fuzz combines two fuzz circuits running in series:
A medium-gain fuzz for thick, textured saturation
A high-gain fuzz stage capable of all-out, overwhelming fuzz insanity
This dual-stage design allows the Monks Fuzz to cover everything from heavy, controlled grind to completely blown-out walls of fuzz. It remains articulate even at extreme gain levels and performs equally well in standard tuning or down-tuned setups such as drop A. The circuit is also well suited for bass, retaining low-end weight and authority.
The Monks Fuzz is built for heavy riff-driven music and pairs naturally with pedals in our
Fuzz Pedals collection and other doom-focused effects designed for slow, crushing tones.
Built for the Stage
The Monks Fuzz is hand-built in Melbourne and housed in a rugged enclosure designed for heavy use on stage and in the studio. Finished with durable coating and UV-printed artwork by Andrej of All Things Rotten, it’s built to withstand touring and long-term abuse.
Powered by a standard 9V negative-center power supply, the Monks Fuzz integrates easily into any pedalboard.
