The Librarian – Intelligent Noise Gate Pedal
The Librarian is an intelligent noise gate pedal designed for players who need fast, transparent gating without sacrificing feel or dynamics. Using your clean signal to control the gate, it delivers precise noise reduction even under extreme high-gain conditions.
At its core, The Librarian is based on the Fortin Zuul–style circuit and built around the THAT Corp 4301 chip. This allows the pedal to accurately track your guitar or bass signal and apply gating only when needed. The result is ultra-fast response that stays tight during aggressive playing while remaining natural and unobtrusive during quieter passages.
A single Threshold control makes The Librarian easy to dial in. Whether you’re tightening modern djent-style riffing or cleaning up high-gain rigs, it provides consistent and reliable gating with minimal adjustment.
The first production run of The Librarian uses high-quality PCBs from PedalPCB and is hand-built in Melbourne.
The Librarian is ideal for tightening high-gain setups and pairs perfectly with pedals from our
Overdrive & Distortion collection and other
High-Gain Pedals designed for modern heavy tones.
Built for the Stage
