Stab Zone – 90s Thrash & Death Metal Distortion Pedal
The Stab Zone is a high-gain distortion pedal built to deliver crushing ’90s thrash and death metal tones with clarity, punch, and serious output on tap. Designed for aggressive riffing and tight, articulate chug, the Stab Zone captures the raw attitude of classic extreme metal while offering modern reliability and control.
At its core, the Stab Zone is loosely inspired by the Danelectro Fab Tone, but the circuit has been significantly reworked for improved performance and flexibility. The result is a distortion that stays tight and quiet even at high gain settings, making it ideal for fast palm-muted riffs, biting leads, and heavy rhythm work.
A carefully tuned frequency boost at 120Hz and 3kHz ensures massive low-end punch while keeping the upper mids present and cutting. This voicing helps your guitar sit perfectly in a dense mix, delivering thick chugs and singing lead tones without getting lost.
The Stab Zone features asymmetrical clipping for added harmonic complexity and a more aggressive attack. Dedicated Volume, Low, High, and Gain controls provide straightforward shaping without unnecessary complication.
True bypass switching ensures your clean signal remains untouched when the pedal is disengaged.
Built for the Stage
The Stab Zone is housed in a rugged 1590BB2 enclosure (125mm × 95mm × 63mm) with a durable powder-coated finish and UV-printed artwork by All Things Rotten. Each pedal is hand-built, one by one, and designed to handle the demands of stage and studio use.
Powered by a standard 9V negative-center power supply, the Stab Zone integrates easily into any high-gain pedalboard setup.

Love the huge full sound this pedal provides. Aggressive and Raw. Tons of low end with bite. Added a boost to it and I almost went deaf. A great take on the Danelectro circuit with a broader application then just fuzz and distortion. I also love the artwork, coolest looking pedal I own. Im liking this company.

Got this pedal a few months ago, and it is awesome, with the way the EQ works you can sculpt any tone you want, i have it set for a old school carcass sound and it nails it. This is a stayer on my board, Great work.

Good quality product, I use it every time without any problem.

Loads of distortion and fuzz. Every Kink pedal I have bought has replaced a more expensive brand on my pedalboard. Mark’s pedals have great build quality and tone. This pedal is a ‘must have’ if you love raw power.

It definitely makes my guitar sound and feel a lot better. I’ll definitely be back for more pedals…

This pedal has the best balance of a tube style distortion and a Fuzz. If you want more gain than a distortion pedal will give you but can’t stand the sputter of Fuzz pedals this is your answer. The build is fantastic quality that does not add unwanted hissing noise. Run a new style clean overdrive before this and it is amazing. The Killer artwork suits it perfectly.
This pedal will kick your azz….
