The Smashed Kraken is a lush, analog BBD chorus pedal inspired by the classic CE-2, expanded with a blend control for greater flexibility. Designed for wide, spacious modulation, it delivers rich chorus tones that range from subtle movement to full, shimmering ’80s depth.

At its core, the Smashed Kraken is built around a bucket-brigade delay (BBD) chorus circuit, capturing the warmth and character that made vintage chorus pedals legendary. The added blend control allows you to dial in the perfect balance between dry signal and modulation, making it easy to sit the effect exactly where you want it in the mix.

Simple, intuitive controls keep everything musical and usable. Rate and Depth shape the speed and intensity of the modulation, while the Blend control adjusts overall chorus presence. A built-in rate LED provides clear visual feedback when dialing in tempos on the fly.

The result is a wide, smooth chorus that adds depth and movement without overpowering your core tone—perfect for clean passages, driven parts, and everything in between.

Built for the Stage

The Smashed Kraken is housed in a rugged 1590BB2 enclosure (125mm × 95mm × 63mm) with a durable powder-coated finish and UV-printed artwork by All Things Rotten. Built for both stage and studio use, it’s designed to handle regular gigging without compromise.

Powered by a standard 9V negative-center power supply, the Smashed Kraken integrates easily into any pedalboard.
